Greetings! My name is Tavorise K. Marks, and I am running for the Virginia House of Delegates District 62 Seat, which encompasses parts of Chesterfield and Henrico County, Prince George and the City of Hopewell. I am Virginia born and bred. I love my state and adore my community. Born in Richmond and raised in Brunswick County. I currently reside in Chester, Virginia. I live to serve my community and honor my family.
I AM NOT A POLITCIAN. I am very much just like you. I have worked hard for everything I have achieved, with nothing ever given to me. I am no stranger to hard work as my very first job at the age of 15 was working in a tobacco warehouse unloading 300 lb. bales of tobacco and tagging it for sale to the big tobacco companies in rural Brunswick County, Virginia. I enjoyed earning my income and contributing to the success of my community at that time. This work ethic has followed me throughout life as I became the first in my family to attend college.
It is very important that I state that this campaign is not about me… It is about you. I am running for the District 62 seat because I am fed up with the “business as usual approach” of the state government and our elected official not being held accountable for the negative repercussions of their votes that severely affect the citizens of the community. Your elected official should be a representation of the people and not the political elite.
